Hello and welcome back to the Wild Manifestations Podcast. If you don’t already know me, my name is Heather Ione. And I am a spiritual life coach and manifestation mentor as I call it. And in this podcast, I talk all about manifestation and the law of attraction. I talk about overcoming different limiting beliefs and mental blocks that you have that can prevent you from creating the life that you want. I talk about self-discovery and self-improvement practices to help you, you know, get in touch with your highest self and fulfil your life’s purpose. I talk about different lifestyle and wellness practices to help you raise your vibration. I talk about all of these things so that I can give you the tools and the insights that you need to become a deliberate creator of your life. So, that you’re not really just at the mercy of all of the different situations that are happening around you and thinking that there’s nothing you can do about it.
You know, there’s just certain cards you were dealt in life and you’re just stuck with it. Or you have to live a certain way to make other people happy, or you can’t get yourself out of your current situation, anything like that. I created this podcast to help empower you and give you all the tools, all of the insights to really help you step into your power and create that dream life for yourself. And in this podcast episode today, I’m talking all about the importance of showing gratitude, showing appreciation for something after you have manifested it. And I just got done recording a different podcast episode this morning. And I went out to find Matt after I was done recording. And I just had this really surreal moment and it really just hit me as it often does, oh my God, I’ve created my dream life.
You know, it was just such a beautiful moment. And I’ll explain it more in detail in a minute. But because I was feeling this way through feeling this way, I just got so inspired to do this episode because it reminded me of this incredibly important part in your manifestation practice. A part that I never really hear people talk about and I just think that this is so helpful to your success with manifesting. So, I wanted to share this tip with you and also share why showing your appreciation, your gratitude afterwards is so essential to your manifestation practice. So, I wanted to create this episode to explain all of this stuff in detail today. I shared a little bit about this on Instagram, but I just felt like an Instagram story really didn’t do it justice, because I couldn’t really explain everything in detail of why this is so crucial. So, without further ado, let’s get into the podcast.
So, this morning I really just was having such a good day. I woke up and I walked my puppy this morning. I ate breakfast and I went into my home office to record this podcast episode. I was recording an episode all about shifting into an abundance mindset. And after I was finished recording, I went out to go find Matt. And I just wanted to talk to him and be like, okay, I’m done, you know, hang out with him. And he wasn’t in the house and I was like, okay, where would he be? He’s normally in the yard. So, then I was looking in the yard and I didn’t see him anywhere. And then eventually I found him in our school bus that we just bought parked on the side of the house. And I guess he just felt so motivated and so excited about finally having the school bus because he’s been talking about it nonstop ever since we decided to make this decision. He’s been watching all these different Schooley tours.
He’s been reading a book all about school, bus conversions into an RV. He’s so freaking pumped for this new project. He’s so excited. And we were going to start ripping the seats out tomorrow. And there’s also these like bookshelves that were above the seats in the school bus for like people’s books and backpacks and stuff like that. And we were planning on doing that tomorrow. And then I find him in the school bus and he’s already began working on it because he was just so excited. He couldn’t wait until tomorrow. So, he went in there and he just started to unscrew these bookshelves and start working on the bus. And I walked in there I didn’t know he had been doing that and I just watched him for a few minutes doing this project. And I had another one of those moments where I realized, oh my gosh, this is my life.
And I just felt so freaking grateful because you know, when I was sharing my story about my manifestation journey, I told you guys, you know, when I was 19 years old, I just so deeply wanted a healthy relationship. I wanted a puppy. I wanted a home in Florida. I wanted to move to Florida. I wanted my own business. I wanted a home office. I wanted to be a content creator. I wanted to be a podcaster. I wanted a school bus or a van that I can convert to travel around the country with my future, significant other and see all these national parks. I saw my dream life so specifically because, you know, I told you guys, I basically gave up Netflix during this time for like four months. And that became my Netflix every night, I would just allow myself to play out this incredible life that I wanted in my head as if it were a movie. And to be here now, actually living the life that I dreamed of is just so crazy.
So, I had another one of those moments where I’m just like, oh my God, is this real life. And I felt the emotions of just gratitude and happiness washing over me. And this has been happening to me whenever I receive something. I have always made it a point ever since I was 19 years old and everything that I wanted started to be put in motion and I got that move to Florida. As soon as I started to attract what I wanted into my life, I always made it a point to feel grateful. And I promised myself that I would never allow myself to forget how far I came and that the life that I have now was a life that I used to cry about because I wanted so badly. It was a life that I would journal about and visualize for two hours every single day and make vision boards about and pray about I wanted this so deeply and it’s happening now.
So, I told myself, I will never forget to feel grateful for these things. I promised myself. I would never forget it. I would always remember to feel grateful. So, now it’s to the point where even if I just feel a little bit of gratitude in my body for having manifested something, I’m like, no, I’m going to sit with this. And I make myself sit there and feel all of those emotions and allow myself to really remember how much I wanted this, how much I prayed for this so that I never forget how far I came. And I wanted to share this with you today because I think that this is a very important step in the manifestation practice. And I really never hear people talk about this because we’re always talking about how do you manifest your dream life? And then it just ends like that. Right.
You know, we don’t really talk about like, well, what about after? What do we do after? Because it’s sort of like, okay, you reached your goal and then you just forget about it. You set a new goal and then you move on. Right? So, the thing that I want to really talk about today is recognizing and showing appreciation for these things after you manifest them into your life, don’t move on and just forget about it. Because honestly, this is what almost every single one of us does, right? We are so used to seeing what’s missing what we don’t have, what we want, what we want to buy next, what we want to put in the shopping cart next. That as soon as we buy something or receive something or have something our brain automatically says, thank you next. And it just moves on to the next thing, right?
You completely forgot that you ever wanted that other thing and that you received it, your mind just jumps to the next best thing that it wants. So, it reminds me of when, you know, we buy a house for example, or you buy an apartment or you’re renting an apartment for the first time you get so excited, you’re like, oh my gosh, I got this apartment. But then every time you look around, you think about what you need to buy, right? Your mind is always like, ooh, but wait, I need a piece of furniture for over there. I need a desk lamp. Okay. I need another piece of artwork for that corner. And then I need a thing to hang my essential oils on. And if I can get like a cute little mail carrier holder thing for the door, that would be great.
And oh, I need more indoor house plants. I should really get a new comforter. This is what our mind does. Right. Your mind just completely forgets, hey, you got a freaking house. How awesome is that? And you just start thinking about what you’re missing. Right? So, this actually reminds me of my favourite part in the Minimalism documentary. I know I just mentioned this in the last episode that I recorded. I love the Minimalism documentary. I’ve seen it so many times and I’m not a minimalist, but I’m so obsessed with that documentary.
And like sometimes I just get like hardcore into tiny house videos and minimalism videos. I don’t know it really excites me for some reason. So, I love the Minimalism documentary. If you haven’t seen it, it’s available on Netflix. And they have two different books. The two guys who have the minimalist blog and documentary, their names are Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus and their books are minimalism in everything that remains. Anyways, there is this part in the documentary that I think is just so relevant to this. And it’s my favourite part.
So, I want to read this quote off to you guys. They read this quote and it just gave me chills when I first heard it, because this is exactly how our mind works. And I just think it’s so relevant to this point. So, it’s kind of lengthy, but it’s so good. I’ve read it a couple different times today because it’s just one of my favourites. But even while Rome is burning, there’s somehow time for shopping at Ikea. Social imperatives are merciless bitch. Everyone is attempting to buy what no one can sell. See, when I moved out of the house earlier this week, toting my many personal belongings and large bins and boxes and 50-gallon garbage bags. My first inclination was of course, to purchase the things I still quote needed for my new place. You know, the basics, food hygiene products, a shower, curtain, towels, a bed.
And, oh, I need a couch and a matching leather chair and a love seat and a lamp and a desk and a desk chair and another lamp for over there. And oh yeah, don’t forget the sideboard that matches the desk and a dresser for the bedroom. And oh, I need a coffee table and a couple end tables and a TV for the TV stand I still need to buy. And don’t these look nice? What do you call them throat pillows? Oh, throw pillows, well that makes sense? And now that I think about it, I’m going to want my apartment to be my style, you know, my own motif. So, I need certain decoratives to spruce up the decor. But wait, what is my style exactly? And do these stainless-steel picture frames embody that particular style? Does this replica Muttu sketch accurately capture my edgy, but professional vibe?
Exactly how edgy am I? What espresso maker defines me as a man? Does the fact that I’m even asking these questions mean I lack the dangling brass pendulum that makes me a quote man’s man? How many plates cups bowls spoons should a man own? I guess I need a dining table too right and a rug for the entryway and bathroom rugs, bathmats? And what about that one thing? That thing that’s like a rug but longer. Yeah. I need a runner. I need one of those and I’m going to need, what else do I need? So, I absolutely love that part and everything that remains and I love the way he reads it too. I tried to read it as best as he did it. But anyways, I absolutely loved that part of the documentary. And I think that it made this point so well, that was Joshua Fields Millburn, by the way, it was his quote.
And I share this because this is exactly how our mind works. We are never satisfied and we always feel like we need more. Right? So, it’s so easy to forget when we have something that at one point we desired so deeply, like the house itself, right? You get caught up in all these other things you want, you forget, hey, I just bought a house. I just got a new apartment. This is crazy. I wanted this so badly. Your mind immediately shifts and goes on to the next thing that you need. Right? So, it’s really important to acknowledge and appreciate when you do bring these things into your life, because you need to acknowledge at one point you wanted this so badly and you were trying to manifest this exact thing. So, I have three different reasons why I think it’s so important to acknowledge it, which I’m going to share with you today.
The first one is that if you’re acknowledging these things, right, and you’re feeling grateful for having acquired this thing that you’ve finally manifested, you’re putting out these positive feelings, these positive thoughts and emotions like gratitude and joy and happiness, and just, you know, belief and faith and all of the things that you’re feeling. In that moment you’re putting that out into the universe for giving you those things, which then ripples out into the universe and guess what it allows you to attract more. That energy is helping you draw all of your other desires to you when you realize like, oh my gosh, I’m so grateful. I’m so happy. I’m so elated. I actually manifested this. This is crazy. I’m so excited when you are feeling that when you’re acknowledging that you’re putting it out into the universe and you’re going to be able to manifest even more.
There’s a second reason for this though and it’s that the universe worked to bring those things to you, right? It synchronized the entire physical world to bring that in to your physical reality. It synchronized events and people and things that you are not even aware of to bring you what you want. So, I feel like the very least that we can do is show our appreciation, right? Not act like we were just entitled to these things or that it happened coincidentally, right. Or, you know, we just got lucky or, oh, well we just worked hard or something like that. No, it’s to not act like any of that. But instead show our appreciation and acknowledge that.
Recognize how thankful we are and how blessed we are for having this thing that we used to pray for. That we used to pray to that exact same universe, that exact same God for please, please, please bring it into my life. Right. We used to pray over these things. So, I feel like the least we can do is show our appreciation and then go into a prayer and acknowledge that and show that gratitude there. You know, I feel like it’s really important to have this relationship with the higher power. Whatever you call it, whatever your spirituality looks like, where you’re not just going to that universe or that God expressing the things you want, but also showing some gratitude. Right? I think that that’s really important.
So, the next reason why I think that this is super important to show and acknowledge your appreciation and your gratitude for this is because if you take that time to do that step. It actually reaffirms your faith in the law of attraction. So, by doing so, it’s actually going to work better later on. By taking a moment to recognize and to acknowledge that you manifested this thing and show your appreciation for that. And let it really sit with you really reflect on that feeling, don’t let it be a fleeting feeling, really reflect on it and think about it. Allow yourself to feel that way for half an hour. Just sit there and be like, oh my gosh, I feel so incredible right now. I’m so thankful. Allow yourself to sit with that, to recognize it, to reflect on that.
Because if you do that, you will actually remember this manifestation way more clearly in the future. And it will reaffirm that future self in the manifestation practice, in manifestation itself in the law of attraction. It will reaffirm that to you and make you really remember and realize, wow, this is real. And trust me, you’re going to be so thankful, your future self is going to be so thankful that you took some time to do this step. Because we all have doubts that come up from time to time around this stuff, right. Especially when we’ve been trying to manifest something and you’re like, why hasn’t this happened yet?
You know, you’re like, oh my gosh, where is it? And it’s starting to like, shake your faith a little bit. You know, you’re starting to doubt the law of attraction. Maybe you’re starting to doubt your own abilities in it. And you’re starting to think like, oh, this could work for other people, but it couldn’t work for me. Right. It’s so important too when you have manifested something, sit with it, reflect on it, show that appreciation because then your future self will remember that. And it’s going to give you faith later on when you need it the most. So, if there’s one thing that you can just take away from today’s podcast episode that I really want to hit home on. It’s that remember when you do manifest something that you’ve been wanting to feel grateful for it to reflect on it and even to verbalize to the universe or to God, or source or the higher power for bringing this thing to you, that goes a very long way.
And if you start doing that, you’re going to manifest even more. And you’re actually going to enjoy the process even more. Because I have to say it’s actually a little bit unsatisfying to work so hard in a manifestation practice, and then actually acquire that thing and be like, oh, look, it’s here and then move on. That’s not satisfying. Right. It doesn’t feel good and I’ve done that before. And it didn’t sit well in my body. You know, like there’s been times where I haven’t completely forgotten to feel grateful, but I didn’t really take the time that I should have to feel grateful. So, sometimes a couple of weeks later, I’m like, you know what? I never really remembered to acknowledge that and to thank the higher power and to feel grateful and just feel super blissful for having manifested that. So, I’ll actually go back, I’ll sit there and I’ll really reflect on it and embody that, you know. It’s so important because otherwise it’s like, what’s the point?
What’s the point if this thing came into your life and you’re just going to be like, okay, cool, next. What’s the next thing that I should buy? You know, like, oh, what’s the next thing that I should get. Like, if you just automatically jump to the next thing, then you’re kind of like on this wheel, like you’re never satisfied. You always need more and more and there’s this void, you know, I don’t want you to feel like you have a void. I don’t want any of us to feel that way. You know, so really take some time and sit with the things that you’ve manifested as you received them. And actually, what I think is a really good exercise to do is if you actually took this moment right now after this podcast episode, to just sit there and think about all of the things in your past, that you have been able to manifest up until this point.
Even if they’re little things really reflect on all of those things and add like a little mental, like tally of everything, you’ve been able to manifest into your life that you wanted so deeply. And then sit there and allow those feelings of gratitude and even disbelief and faith and just that feeling of there’s something greater than you, you are supported, you’re grateful, you’re appreciative. You know, you feel free, you feel happy any of those emotions that are flooding into your body. Just think about all of those things you’ve manifested and let those feelings wash over you and just enjoy it. And I promise you that if you can start embodying little things like this, you’re going to manifest with more ease. Especially if you have some sort of a ritual around it too. So, definitely make it your own. Come up with a ritual, do something like that to acknowledge the things that you brought into your experience.
And I promise you that if you do this, you’re going to feel better. Not only now, but also in the future too, this really has the potential to shift your mindset. It definitely shifted my mindset because, you know, like I said, I made that promise to myself that I would never forget that I am living the life that I once dreamed of. I would never allow myself to forget that I used to cry about this and pray about this and having those deep feelings of belief and gratitude in this stuff. And, you know, showing that appreciation regularly. I mean, I do it all the time. I just forced myself to sit there and remember all of this so that I constantly reaffirm that faith and doing so it really did shift my mindset and it gave me so much more faith in the law of attraction.
And all I had to do was really just sit there and reflect on it. It’s a super basic step. So, I definitely think that if you do this, it will help you in your manifestation practice as well.
